Koalas are our most iconic marsupial – loved the world over, but with their numbers in decline and in real danger from habitat loss, bushfires, accidents and disease. Dr Harry spends a day with the team at a new Koala Sanctuary and hospital in Port Stephens NSW. They show him how they treat, care and rehabilitate sick and injured koalas; releasing back into the wild those that can be and taking care of the animals whose injuries mean a longer stay is required. The future of our most loved marsupial is in good hands with these dedicated doctors and nurses.
