OzHarvest has been rescuing wasted food since 2004, when founder Ronni Kahn noticed a huge volume of food going to waste from her own events business. Since then, their bright yellow vans have become ubiquitous around the country, transporting surplus food to all manner of local charities. Joh goes behind the scenes of their Sydney warehouse and their latest venture, Refettorio, a restaurant that provides high-quality free meals to those in need in a surrounding that helps the patrons have a positive experience and helps restore their dignity.
