While many believe the key to happiness falls somewhere along the lines of landing a dream job, earning the big bucks, or losing those last few kilos, the reality is significantly different
A study conducted by Oxford University on conjunction with Kindness.org discovered that observing or carrying out one kind act per day, for seven days, boosted subjective happiness in participants of the study. The study also found out that the more acts of kindness observed or committed, the happier people became.
However, this study isn’t the first time a link between kindness and happiness has been identified. In 2018, a team of researchers analysed 27 different studies that all identified links between acts of kindness and personal happiness.
The research also indicated it didn’t matter if the acts of kindness were for family and friends or for strangers – all acts of kindness achieved the same level of happiness.
