Celebrity chef Karen Martini is set to step back from her regular appearances on Better Homes and Gardens this year.
The announcement comes amidst Karen’s flourishing culinary ventures, including the recent opening of Johnny’s Green Room and the impending launch of Saint George. Karen is also actively involved in various projects, making 2024 her busiest year.
In a statement, Karen expressed her excitement about the bustling year ahead, highlighting her recent participation in the Great Australian Culinary Voyage, where she curated bespoke menus.
“To manage the multitude of projects on my plate, I’ve decided to step back from Better Homes and Gardens this year,” Karen explained, adding, “My daughters are in their last teenage years too – it’s quite daunting as Stella is in year 12 and also on her Ls.”
She also hinted at more exciting ventures in the pipeline.
Karen has reassured fans she isn’t leaving; she is just stepping back from the show. She will still be sharing delicious recipes, just not every week.
In saying that, Karen says she is excited to see what Colin Fassnidge will bring to the kitchen this year.
“I think his cheeky flavour will spice up the show, and I can’t wait to see him on air when we return on Friday Feb 2.”
