Whether you have a secret stash of ‘reusable’ plastic grocery bags, or your eco-friendly enviro-bags from the supermarket are taking over your car, one thing is for sure: it’s hard to keep those suckers tidy.

Grocery bags are an absolute necessity to have, but their voluminous nature means they can be quite unruly and rarely fit into kitchen drawers.
“As a Professional Organiser ‘don’t put it down, put it away’ is one of my five strategies for keeping organised,” says Jo. “But some things aren’t that easy to put away, such as shopping bags.”
“Folding is a space-saving and visually pleasing way to put things away – whether it’s T-Shirts or a tent. The folding concept has been well employed by the army for decades and made popular with Marie Kondo,” says Jo.
“There are many ways to approach it. To keep it simple, and regardless of the shape we’re folding, flatten, try to make it a rectangle and fold edges inwards, place in a drawer, basket or container ready for next time.”
