Anzac Day is time for us all to reflect and pay our respect to those who served their country with distinction and this year we’re giving thanks to one of the last surviving diggers of the Kokoda Trail Campaign, Reg Chard. Joh learns Reg’s incredibly poignant story of resilience, perseverance and love as he shows her the Kokoda Track memorial in Sydney’s west. For over 65 years Reg has kept his home as neat as a pin, but at 98 years old there’s a few jobs that are just a little too difficult for him, so Adam, Charlie and Joh begin a long overdue, but richly deserved front of house and garden makeover. With a new fence, new entry deck, garden beds and a lick of paint, Reg’s home will once again be fit for a queen (mother)… as it was in 1958 when she made a personal visit.
