ALDI shoppers have voted in the supermarket’s annual The People’s Picks Awards for 2025, and one cleaning product has come out as a clear winner in the “Partner in Grime” award category.
If you’re a fan of ALDI’s affordable, yet effective, cleaning range, then you might already have a bottle sitting in your laundry cupboard. Yep, it’s the $2.10 Di-San Pre Wash Stain Remover, known affectionately by those in the know as “the ALDI stain remover in the purple bottle (not the pink bottle).”
What does Di-San Pre Wash Stain Remover do?
ALDI’s shopping expert, Kylie Warnke says Di-San is known for its ability to bust through tough stains. “It’s reliable, powerful and the quiet hero of every wash. It’s specifically formulated to tackle tough stains like perspiration, food grease, red wine, and coffee and works on both colours and whites,” she says.

Why is Di-San Pre Wash Stain Remover so good?
Di-San may be incredible at removing stains from clothing, but the reason this product has achieved cult-status is because it has so many other uses around the house.
Members of the Mums Who Clean Facebook group swear by the product’s ability to clean almost everything, including kitchen range hood filters, bathroom taps and sinks, carpet stains, tile grout, shower screens, car rims and removing grubby hand prints and scuff marks from walls.
The biggest mistake people make with this product? Only buying one bottle. Several users in the Mums Who Clean Facebook group recommended buying more than one bottle, as it’s such an effective, useful product to have around the house, and at $2.10, why not?
Kylie says, “I always keep a bottle handy because you never know when life is going to get messy.”
