How do mosquito patches work?
Mosquitoes are attracted to the carbon dioxide we release when we breathe out. But the good news is there are certain essential oils which can mask the delicious smell we emit, thereby making us invisible to mosquitoes. That’s where these delightful mosquito patches come in.
Buzzpatch Mosquito Repellent Stickers: features
- Natural citronella and geraniol oils.
- Non-toxic and DEET free.
- Full protection lasts 12 hours and wears off 24-72 hours from opening.
- Applied on clothes.
- 60 patches in 1 pack.
- Helps keep bugs like mosquitoes, midges, sand flies, and flies away.
The pros:
I love the smell. As soon as you open the packet, you can smell these mosquito stickers, which is very promising. Citronella isn’t a scent that springs to mind when considering essential oils, but this is lovely. My son didn’t notice, though, so he was none the wiser when I stuck some of these on his clothes.
They are very easy to apply to small children. Kids don’t like having things rubbed over their skin, especially sticky and smelly. My son is a mosquito magnet, and the bites cause him great grief, so these mosquito patches are a lifesaver because they work.
A whole packet lasts longer than you think it will. The packet might seem small, but depending on your child’s age, you only need one or two stickers to protect them for up to 72 hours.
They don’t take up much space in the baby bag. As I said, the packet is small, which means you can throw it in the baby bag and whip it out whenever you hear a mozzie coming along.
They aren’t just for kids. I’d rather get eaten alive by mosquitoes than put traditional mosquito repellent on, so these patches aren’t just great for kids; they are awesome for adults, too.
The cons
I can honestly say these patches worked for my family. The only con is that if you forget to take the stickers off your clothes and put them in the wash, you’ll be finding stickers for days. I recently found one stuck to the back of my washing machine. They also turn up in the lint catcher of the dryer.
Are mosquito patches worth it?
Buzzpatch Mosquito Repellent Stickers are a great alternative to traditional mosquito repellents, especially for young children. They are easy to use, have a pleasant smell, and are non-toxic and DEET-free.
While they may wind up in your washing machine and dryer if not removed, they are a great option for those who want a more natural and convenient mosquito-repellent option.
If you’re looking for an effective mosquito repellent safe for your family, Buzzpatch Mosquito Repellent Stickers are worth considering.
