A slime-making craze has captured the globe, transforming household ingredients into blobs of tactile and mesmerising goo.
There are a plethora of recipes for slime online, but many of the popular ones include borax as an ingredient.
Borax is a naturally-occuring mineral that is used in multipurpose cleaners, stain removers and deodorisers, but there is concern that it may cause irritation. There have also been reports that it has caused burns in children.
