A splash of life and colour, coming right up!
Potted colour

Indoor plants are hot right now and they’re a trend that’s here to stay. At BHG, we think that the best kind of centrepiece is one with lots of colour and life. Get the best of both by adding some living green to pots in your home.

1. Size it up

Before you run off to find your new pot, work out a home for your new addition. Sunny window sills and bright well-lit spots make for the perfect indoor spot for most indoor plants. This will make finding the perfect pot a whole heap easier.

2. Splash out

Mix it up and go bold by adding a couple of different plant varieties to your pot. Look for different textures, heights and colours but make sure all of the plants need the same kind of growing conditions. This will help them all thrive, alternatively use a watering can to cater to each plants needs.

3. Nourish to flourish

Give your indoor garden lots of love to help it grow big and lush. Start with the basics and make sure you use a good quality potting mix and fertiliser like Hortico’s All Purpose Blend Potting Mix and best-selling Hortico Slow Release Plant Fertiliser.

4. Change of scenery

As the seasons change so too will your potted colour. Give your plant visits outside during the warmer months to help it thrive, if your pot contains ferns or orchids make sure you bathe it in filtered light.
