Slicing a watermelon can be tricky – especially if you cut it in half straight up. Give this method a go and you’ll be serving it up in no time.
1. Lay the watermelon down and trim both ends with a sharp knife.
2. Stand the watermelon on a trimmed end and cut down the middle, creating two long halves.
3. Lay each half flesh slice-down and cut in half (lengthwise) again. You’ll have four long quarters.
4. Turn each quarter flesh-side down and slice into 2cm strips.
