If one thing gets supermarket shoppers in a tizzy, it’s Easter eggs and hot cross buns hitting the shelves almost immediately after Christmas when everyone’s desperately trying to stick to their New Years’ Resolutions. In 2019, the hot cross bun debate even became so heated that Coles decided to sell hot cross buns all year round.

But it’s easy to overlook the fact that eager shelf stackers are tempting everyone with delectable treats ahead of the season when Cadbury comes through with the goods and drops Caramilk flavoured Easter bunnies – because Caramilk is life.
First launched 1968, Caramilk chocolate bars were eventually discontinued in 1994. Cadbury re-launched the caramel flavoured chocolate in 2018, and since then, anything Caramilk-related – including Caramilk cake hacks and Caramilk flavoured Twirls – has gone viral.
That’s why there’s a good chance that Caramilk’s Easter Bunny incarnation and accompanying gift pack will sell out fast. (If that happens and you do miss out on the collection, you could always try making your own chocolate Easter bunny using the homemade Caramilk recipe).
Another option is to try Cadbury’s other Easter collection featuring the iconic flavours of Cherry Ripe. Like Caramilk, there’s a Cherry Ripe Easter Bunny and gift pack available.
All we can say is: hide the Caramilk eggs really well during the family Easter egg hunt, because these guys are just way too good to share.
