The Special Buys aisle of ALDI is world-renowned for having unique products, like ski gear and washing machines, for a fraction of their usual price. Now, ALDI Australia has revealed that you can shop these discounted products online!
From January 7th, the DoorDash app will enable ALDI customers to browse and shop select Special Buys items online and in-app. Simon Padovani-Ginies, Group Director at ALDI Australia, explained that “shoppers can now get high-quality everyday grocery essentials and our Good Different range of Special Buys items delivered direct to their doors.”
But it’s not available for all states just yet. Here’s when you’ll be able to shop Special Buys from the comfort of your own home.

When ALDI Special Buys delivery is available in your state
This new feature for ALDI delivery will be rolled out to Victorians first on Wednesday, January 7th. They will be able to shop a specific range of Special Buys using the DoorDash app, and get all the best ‘middle aisle’ products delivered straight to their door.
For other Aussie states, you’ll have to wait an extra two weeks until Wednesday, January 21.
You will have to be in an area that DoorDash delivers in, which is in all major Australian cities, as well as many regional cities and towns. Make sure to check the DoorDash app or website to see if ALDI Delivery is readily available in your area.
What Victorians can shop this week on ALDI Special Buys
This new delivery feature comes just in time for ALDI’s seasonal ‘Back To School’ Special Buys drop. This will be available on Wednesday, January 7, in all ALDI stores, and for online delivery in Victoria only. Think school supplies, stationery, educational workbooks, lunchbox items and school basics, including backpacks, school shoes and hair accessories.
According to Padovani-Ginies, this couldn’t have come at a better time: “For our Victorian shoppers, the addition of Special Buys to the DoorDash platform couldn’t have come at a better time for busy parents looking to shop for great value back to school items from ALDI in an entirely new and convenient way.”
For all other Australian states, you’ll have to head in store for these products!
How to shop ALDI Special Buys online
ALDI Special Buys will be available to shop online through DoorDash in January 2026. Using the ALDI Storefront on the DoorDash app, you will be able to peruse Special Buys products that are available to purchase.
Just like in-store, the Special Buys range will drop on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and be available for a limited time, or until sold out.
Which Special Buys will be included?
As most ALDI fans know, Special Buys is a hallowed aisle filled with thousands of fun and interesting products. From viral products like slushie makers to international food to power tools, there’s an item for every shopper. For online delivery, all of these products will be available for shopping, including food and non-food items, and limited-time-only products.
However, there is one notable exception. Any Special Buys products that require a two-person lift will be excluded from online purchase and delivery. This could include white goods, heavier appliances or garden and power tools. If you’re hoping to purchase a specific item, it’s advised to check ALDI’s storefront on DoorDash each Wednesday and Saturday to see whether it’s able to be purchased for delivery.
Keep in mind that pre-orders will not be available for any Special Buys, and any Special Buys items will only be available for purchase for a limited time, or until sold out.
