If you’ve been put off in the past as you don’t have a churner, don’t worry this recipe doesn’t require an ice-cream maker. All you need is ½ cup of condensed milk, three tablespoons of Milo and 600ml of thickened cream.

Method

  1. Start off by warming ½ a cup of condensed milk in a microwave-safe bowl. Warm it up in the microwave in bursts, making sure it doesn’t bubble over.
  2. Then, add three tablespoons of Milo and whisk that together until it’s nice and smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whip up 600ml of thickened cream with another whisk or a hand-mixer until it’s reached medium peaks.
  4. Pour in the cooled Milo mixture and stir that together with the same whisk until it’s smooth.
  5. Grab a Tupperware container and carefully pour the mixture in. Place the lid on shut and tap it out against your kitchen counter so it’s flat with no bubbles. Pop it into the freezer overnight so that it can set and firm up.
  6. Serve the next day on its own or in waffle cones.
