Kid-friendly chocolate truffle recipes can be hard to find, but these festive ones are perfect for Christmas baking with your little ones. Without any rum or liqueur, these truffles are made from Marie biscuits, lots and lots of chocolate, and a chocolate coating for extra decadence.

Method
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix crushed biscuits, condensed milk, cocoa, coconut and melted chocolate.
Step 2
Line a tray with baking paper. Using 1 tablespoon of mixture at a time, flatten slightly with your hands. Put a hazelnut or macadamia in the middle, then form mixture around the nut to create a ball. Put on the prepared tray. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Put a wire rack over a tray. In a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of gently simmering water, melt chocolate until smooth. Using two forks, dip truffles, one at a time, in chocolate, gently shaking off excess. Transfer to the rack (this allows for the chocolate to drip onto the tray below). Immediately sprinkle with crushed candy canes, if using, or set aside to set, then drizzle with white chocolate. Refrigerate until firm.
