Kmart has recalled its popular $25 portable blender due to a major safety concern. The product can “cause serious injury” if the base of the product is immersed in water, triggering it to self-activate without pressing the ON/OFF button.

The USB-powered blender came in four colours, white, green, blue and lilac. It was a convenient, easy solution for blending smoothies while camping, at the gym, at work, or on road trips.

In their announcement on an Instagram story, they said if the product self-activates, it can cause “risk of serious injury, including laceration from the exposed blades.”

“Customers should immediately stop using the product and return to the nearest Kmart store for a refund with or without a receipt.”

The product was sold between 23rd January 2025 and was removed from shelves on 18th September 2025 when the recall was issued.

“At Kmart, we take the quality and safety of our products very seriously,” they said in the statement. “Please contact us if you are unable to return the product or have sold or gifted it to another person.”
