You may have seen the Ninja slushie maker retailing for $499.98, and its sold-out Kmart dupe for $179. Both products sent shoppers into frenzies, as shoppers scrambled to get their hands on the ultimate summer kitchen appliance.
Now, Aldi has entered the ring. They’re bringing a $199 slushie maker to the Special Buys aisle on Wednesday, 26th November, and we have no doubt it’s going to fly off the shelves faster than you can say the word ‘slushie’.
Fans in the Facebook group Stuff Mums Like are losing it over the upcoming drop.
“Wow, I can only imagine what the craziness at each Aldi will be like upon opening when they go on sale, maybe some punch-ups on Wednesday, 26th November,” wrote one shopper.
“My summer’ss planned if I can get my hands on this,” said another.
But many are worried they’ll miss out again, still heartbroken after Kmart’s version sold out almost immediately in stores and online.
“Aldi special buys: 3 in stock, 300 people waiting. It’s Kmart’s slushie machine all over again, you know, ‘sold out / never actually existed,” one user joked, adding a heartbroken emoji for emphasis.

The excitement is justified because Aldi’s version is a dupe of the popular $499.99 Ninja slushie maker, which costs hundreds of dollars more.
It offers 5 drink presets: slushie, frappe, milkshake, cocktail, and wine, so you’re spoiled for choice on those hot summer days. The machine also comes with a self-cleaning function, a digital touch control panel, and an insulation mode to maintain temperature.

The slushie maker isn’t the only exciting product coming to the middle aisle. Aldi is also releasing an ice cream and frozen treat maker, a dupe of another Ninja product – the Ninja Creami Deluxe ice cream and frozen treat maker. It includes 10 presets and a mix-in function to customise flavours. It also has a self-cleaning function, a digital touch control panel and a mixing bowl, and storage for three containers.
