Australian-developed Aeris Mould Pro delivers a new level of mould-fighting technology. The best part is you can use it on hard surfaces such as walls, ceilings, and wooden furniture, as well as soft furnishings such as shoes and clothes.

How it works

A single application of Aeris Mould Pro disinfects the surface to eliminate existing mould. Thanks to the inclusion of hydrogen peroxide as a bacterial killing agent, it then removes discolouration caused by mould and mildew. It then leaves behind an invisible protective film for ongoing antibacterial protection.

What are the warning signs that mould is dangerous?

Shani Troubady, Air Quality Applied Scientist at Aeris Environmental, says, “In the right conditions, mould can develop within 24 hours.”

“Most fungi can start growing on surfaces with a wood moisture content of 16% and above, other surfaces such as carpets, plasterboard walls and ceilings, and furniture such as lounge and desk chairs.”

“Mould may be sighted on several materials throughout the home but are usually in areas with water sources (bathroom, kitchen) and grow easier on porous materials. A musty smell may also identify mould.”

The best way to prevent mould in your home is to reduce moisture.

Shani says, “Keeping moisture levels low and ventilation high (turn on exhaust fan/open windows during/after showers), hygiene practices high and removing any apparent mould quickly should avoid overgrowth.”

Aeris Mould Pro is available here and prices start at $16.95.

Always follow the instructions and test a patch on fabric and clothing first.
