- Limewash stain
- Round tapered furniture legs, 400mm (3) and 230mm (3)
- Black spirit-based stain
- Furniture wax
- Leg plates to suit
You’ll also need
- Fine-grit sandpaper
- Sanding block
- Soft lint-free cloths
- Paintbrush
- Gloves
- Screwdriver
Here’s how
Step 1
Use a sanding block and fine-grit sandpaper to sand tabletops to prepare for painting. Sand both faces and the side edges. Wipe away sanding dust.
Step 2
Apply limewash stain with a paintbrush to one face and side edge of each tabletop.
Step 3
For limewash finish, wait a few minutes, then rub back with a cloth and let dry. Repeat process on other faces of tabletops. Apply a second limewash coat, rub back and let dry.
Step 4
Working in a well-ventilated area and wearing gloves, apply black stain to furniture legs using a cloth. Leave to dry.
Step 5
Apply furniture wax to stained legs with a dry cloth, leave to dry for 5 minutes, then buff with another cloth into a soft sheen.
Step 6
Attach leg plates to underside of tabletops using supplied screws. Insert legs in plates and twist to screw in place.
