There’s a solution for that.
Sharing this genius tip on TikTok, Chantel Mila, shows her followers how to make lamp cords disappear!
In her video, Chantel says the secret to avoiding messy wires and putting your lamps wherever you like is using a puck light.
A puck light is generally used in the kitchen to light up cabinets, cupboards and countertops – but we think popping one in a lamp is a genius idea.
“Simply place a puk light inside your lamp and hide the electrical cord,” says Chantel.
Some puck light brands, like these Lytworx puck lights from Bunnings ($21.50), even allow you to select the lighting colour that best suits your needs.
Lytworx puck lights also come with an easy to use controller to switch between the six different light colours.
Chantel’s fans love this clever idea with many thanking her for showing them.
“Fantastic idea. Thank you for showing us this. Would love to see them at night,” one person wrote.
Another said: “I’m totally on the puck light bandwagon too”
One commenter wanted to know how bright the lamps are. Chantel said, “It’s as bright as a normal lamp – this is filmed during the day with curtains open.”
Lots of people pointed out that using a puck light regularly will require a lot of batteries.
Luckily, it is possible to get rechargeable puck lights, like this one, and rotate them.
