If you had to name Australia’s most hacked product, you wouldn’t have to look much further than the Woolworths chocolate mudcake, which has attracted a legion of fans, dedicated Facebook groups and thousands of creative cake hacks.
Now the supermarket giant has extended its dessert range with the launch of two icecream cakes: a Celebration Neapolitan Surprise Cake and a Chocolate Mud Cake with Cheesecake Centre & Caramel Sauce.
Perfect for parties, each cake features a surprise centre.
Cut open the Chocolate Mud Cake to reveal a creamy cheesecake centre and salted caramel sauce, while the Celebration Neapolitan Surprise Cake showcases a piñata-style surprise of chocolate-coated salted caramel popcorn hidden inside.
A Woolworths spokesperson said: “With the weather getting warmer and days getting slightly longer, we know it means our customers are gearing up for lots of entertaining.
“We’re always looking for ways to make it easier for our customers to entertain, all while surprising and delighting their guests with food. These decadent desserts combine classic flavours with a touch of the unexpected, guaranteed to be crowd pleasers.
“These cakes are especially great as you can always have them handy in the freezer for any unexpected guests or last minute get-togethers.”
The Celebration Neapolitan Surprise Cake and the Chocolate Mud Cake with Cheesecake Centre & Caramel Sauce are both $30 each and available only at Woolworths.
