Arrive too early or late
Turning up early may leave your hosts flustered and feeling unprepared, keeping them waiting isn’t a good idea either. Sometimes things are unavoidable, so keep your hosts in the loop about your whereabouts.

Leave your bed unmade
Make your bed every morning – no excuses. This keeps your host happy and the house looking tidy.
Expect to be served
While helping yourself to everything in the fridge and pantry might come across as rude, it’s not the job of the host to fill your glass of water every time you are thirsty or feel like a snack.
Leave a mess
Don’t expect your host to clean up after you. Wash up your plates and dishes after each use. Offering to clean up after dinner will also be greatly appreciated.
