If you have jumpers falling from the sky every time you open your cupboard, it might be time to organise your wardrobe. The easiest way to do that is to have the right wardrobe storage.

Deanna Zacharia is owner of The Sorted Home and a professional organiser and decluttering expert. She’s also received gold certification by Marie Kondo. She says storage products are completely optional when overhauling your wardrobe, but they can make things easier.
The best wardrobe storage solutions
So how do you add more storage to your wardrobe?
In a personalised plan to overhaul my messy wardrobe, Deanna said, “Over the years, I’ve come across a wide range of products that will help streamline and organise your wardrobe, making it easier to find things, put things away, get dressed, and feel your best.”
While the cost of storage can add up, Deanna said there are “two essential products” for your wardrobe that will make the biggest difference.
“The two essential products I recommend you buy are matching coat hangers and storage tubs. Anything else can be added at your own pace,” she said.
“Each item is affordable, so you can make a big impact without breaking the bank.”
Deanna’s tips for adding wardrobe storage
Coathangers
The first is coathangers – just make sure they’re matching and facing the same way.
“Matching coathangers creates a more cohesive and polished look in your wardrobe. Slimline line coathangers are a great space saver,” she said.
Once you’ve got your coathangers, it’s time to create a system for organising your clothes. It’s your wardrobe, so you decide how to group your clothes in your cupboard but be consistent with it.
“You can break it down into evening wear, work wear, casual clothes,” says Deanna. “Or you can hang tops with tops, dresses with dresses, pants with pants.”
Storage tubs
The second must-have storage solution for your wardrobe are storage tubs.
Whether you have items that can’t be hung up, or there’s no room left in your drawers. Or maybe you like to put your summer or winter clothes away while they aren’t being used. These can go in storage tubs.
“Storage tubs can create a uniform look in your wardrobe while keeping your items protected from dust and damage,” says Deanna.
