Ikea kitchen cabinets have been given a gold new look, thanks to a Danish design brand.
Reform recently created the gold-look kitchen for the headquarters of Copenhagen fashion house Stine Goya.
Reform works with Scandinavian architects and designers to customize Ikea’s kitchen cabinets with high-end finishes.
The brand’s 2017 collaboration with designer Christinas Meyer Bengtsson captured the attention of Stine Goya, who liked the metallic detailing. She contacted Reform to see if they could create an all-gold kitchen for her.
“Colour is important to me, both in my work and surroundings, so we decided to transfer it to the kitchen, which is a room often overlooked in an office context,” Stine Goya told Dezeen.
The kitchen features brass cupboards, side panels and handles with a black laminate benchtop. The caramel-coloured walls enhance the golden tones in the cabinetry.
Reform’s custom-made kitchen cabinets, worktops, sinks and sidepanels fit Ikea’s Metod kitchen, and they can be shipped to Australia with a lead time of 10 to 14 weeks.
