When your windscreen fogs up the goal is simple: clear it as soon as possible.
While everyone will have their own method for defogging a windscreen, YouTube personality, Mark Rober, believes he has discovered the perfect combo to clear your window the quickest.
Four steps to clear a foggy windscreen
1. Turn the heater on at full blast. “The hot air can hold more moisture,” says Rober.
2. Turn the AC on. “This pulls moisture out of the air as the air passes over the cold coil.”
3. Turn off the inside air circulation. “Winter air is cold and we know it doesn’t hold much moisture, so if you bring it into your car and heat it up it has alot of absorption capacity.”
4. Open the windows. “Cracking as many windows as possible helps by exchanges the humid air in your car with the dry air outside.”
