If there’s one thing we’re good at, it’s spotting a bargain. With the current cost-of-living crisis, being careful where we spend our money is the priority, and sometimes it can be hard to find impressive pieces for cheap. You can find some real gems when thrift-shopping, or even upcycling old pieces of furniture.
But after some internet sleuthing, we found three items from Kmart’s new August range that are dupes of higher-end brands, for a fraction of the price. They’re modern, sophisticated, and neutral-toned pieces that can easily slide into any interior design style.
1. Floor Mirror
Irregular-shaped furniture is so in right now, and this versatile mirror will look stunning in any room. It’s chic and fun, and only $69 – the cheapest we can find on the market. It’s a dupe for this gorgeous Castlery floor mirror which is $599. Both are beautiful in their own right – the Kmart mirror’s frame is made of velvet, while the Castlery’s frame is made of resin.
2. Asker Boucle Lounge Chair
Chairs can be a statement piece, and this sophisticated, white boucle lounge chair with gold legs gives high-end luxury. It’s a neutral-toned $149 dupe of this green and walnut occasional chair priced at $429.95 from Pillow Talk. Both are stunning, but at very different price points. If you prefer a more simple look, the Kmart chair is for you, or if you prefer a bold moment, go for green!
3. Ribbed Console
If you’ve got a blank wall and you’re not sure what to do to liven it up; stack a few books, a vase of flowers, and a frame on top of this understated console table. Ribbed legs are all the rage, and Kmart’s $99 console table is a dupe of this $289 oak console table from Temple & Webster.
