A game changer for pet owners
Combining hydration, absorption and extraction technologies, the Submarine uses an eight-point hydration system with a pressured chamber for even water distribution and saturation across the wide roller to wash floors evenly without excess moisture.
Removing stubborn stains and spills as well as debris, the contaminated water is extracted from the wet roller and deposited into a separate waste-water tray that is easy to empty once you've finished mopping.
Created with the aim to combat the "matrix and complex makeup of dust" (which is made up of pet dander, skin flakes, dust mites, bacteria, pollens and dust mite faeces), the Submarine boasts an impressive HEPA filtration system and an LCD screen showing the size and number of microscopic particles sensored to then automatically increase the suction power for different floors and dust particles.
The all-in-one vacuum cleaner also features a Dyson motor-driven hair screw tool to pick up long hair and pet hair and prevent it from being wrapped around the brush bar – a game-changer for pet owners.
Is the Dyson Submarine roller head compatible with older V15 models?
While it would be handy if the new Dyson Submarine was compatible with older Dyson V15 models, it, unfortunately, is not. In order to intelligently switch between wet and dry cleaning, this version of the machine has been reprogrammed. When the wet roller head is attached to the Dyson Submarine, the power is automatically switched from the Hyperdymium motor, and the vacuum suction function commonly used in regular cordless vacuum cleaners is designed to be inoperative. This is because if both functions operate at the same time, water may flow into the motor and cause a failure.
