Anna Polyviou

Australian dessert chef

Anna Polyviou is one of Australia's most recognised pastry chefs, known as much for her pink mohawk as for her jaw-dropping desserts. She began her career at Melbourne's Sofitel Hotel before heading to London's Claridge's, then Paris to study under Pierre Hermé. Back in Australia, she spent seven years as Executive Pastry Chef and Culinary Creative Director at Sydney's Shangri-La Hotel, where she became a driving force behind the patisserie revolution in Australian hotels. She is a regular face on Australian TV, having appeared on Better Homes and Gardens Australia, MasterChef Australia, Family Food Fight and Everyday Gourmet and is the author of two cookbooks, Sweet Street (2018) and Kids' Corner (2019).
