"First off I purchased a chopping board to use at home in the kitchen and realised it would make actually make a beautiful benchtop.” Samantha exclusively told Better Homes and Gardens.
“Then I measured the size, worked out how many I would need to cover the top and fixed the boards to my cube shelves with a sealant and filled the gaps with a gap filler” she explained.
With a little help from her husband to secure the boards onto the shelves, Samantha created a sensational piece of furniture for her space in no time at all.
When asked about her inspiration behind the piece, Samantha said she wanted a more sophisticated unit with a timber top that complemented her flooring.
The chopping boards are currently part of 1000s of Kmart products that have had a price drop.
