Watch out Woolworths, Bunnings are giving away free seedling kits, too

It seems kids (and their parents) are finally getting into gardening. Just weeks after Woolworths announced their Discovery Garden collectable promotion, Bunnings have launched their very own seedling give away.

As part of Bunnings’ free kids school holiday workshop programs running in store, all customers who participate in the workshops on the first and third of October will receive one free Mr Fothergills seed pod, while stocks last.

That’s right, Bunnings is offering seedling pots – just like those available from the Woolworths Discovery Garden kits – for free to kids who attend the workshops! You won’t need to spend $30 to get one of these collectables.

These school holidays, the children’s workshops are sustainability themed and vary from store to store, but can include activities such as potting plants, decorating, and building mini worm farms. Just give your local Bunnings store a call (or check the store’s website!) to find out which workshops they’ll be offering.

According to reports, the seedlings available as part of Bunnings Mr Fothergills seed collectables are basil, thyme, lettuce, radish, oregano, mint spinach, tomato, parsley, coriander, chives, dill, silverbeet, rocket and cucumber.

But you’ll have to get in quick to enjoy the holiday workshops first!
