1. Hang a mirror opposite a window
This will reflect the light coming through the window and bring more light into the room.
2. Go for glossy flooring
Flooring with a glossy finish will reflect light, giving the impression that a room is brighter than it is.
3. Stick to a pale colour palette
Painting the walls in shades of white, cream, beige and even the palest of greys is the key to making any room feel bright.
4. Choose light-weight window dressing
For rooms that don’t require block-out curtains for sleep, such as the living room, kitchen and dining, go for light-weight sheer curtains, or even blinds that let in a little light.
5. Keep light sources unobstructed
Think about where your furniture is placed: is anything in front of a window r obstructing natural light from flowing in? If so, rethink your layout so that the sources of light have unhindered access to your space.
