After months of gathering inspiration, you’ve finally made a decision on the beautiful new flooring for your home.
But make sure you measure up before putting down a deposit – and we’re not talking about square footage.
Measure the height from the sub-flooring, and check if there is enough clearance under your doors, including built-in cupboards.
You also need to ensure the new floor will meet the height of the flooring in the adjacent space.
A discrepancy in height not only looks clumsy, it poses as a trip hazard in your home.
If you’re working with a contractor, make sure they have double-checked all measurements as well.
