The Reflections Holiday Parks Massey Greene cabins redefine the camping experience, resembling more of a spacious hotel room than traditional camping quarters. Boasting a generous living room with a comfortable lounge and dining table, a well-equipped galley-style kitchen in the hallway, two single beds in the first bedroom, and a master bedroom featuring a king-size bed and an additional TV, the accommodation exudes comfort. The new and pristine bathroom, complete with a bath, adds to the overall appeal.
However, the pièce de résistance is undoubtedly the deck overlooking the river, providing a safe and secure space for small children to play, thanks to a protective gate.
On our first night, we decided to stay in and cook spaghetti with ingredients we bought from the local IGA (It would be more cost-effective to drive to a nearby Coles or Woolies, but we had spent enough time in the car and wanted to walk.).
While the kitchen in the cabin offered all the necessary cooking utensils, the area also boasted tempting dining options, including a Mexican restaurant at the park's entrance called La Casita, mouthwatering charcoal rotisserie chickens at the Chicken Shop and the delightful Saint Maries for pizza, tunes, and cocktails. The Hotel Brunswick's expansive courtyard was also a hit with live music and pub fare.
Embracing the relaxed atmosphere of Brunswick Heads, our mornings unfolded with refreshing swims in the river, followed by leisurely breakfasts of bacon and eggs on the deck. Strolling into the town centre, baked goods from Bruns Bakery became a daily ritual. Locals also recommended Old Maids for coffee and a quick bite.
While an array of local attractions and activities, including river cruises, kayaking, bushwalking, and day trips to Byron Bay or SeaWorld, beckon for exploration, the allure of the cabin itself is undeniable. Ideal for families, couples, or groups of friends seeking a getaway.
The destination offers a perfect blend of tranquility and excitement but there's truly no need to venture far from the comfort of your cabin - if you don't want to.
