The top 10 must-sees at Vivid 2018

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Sydney's Vivid Festival, an annual festival of light, music and ideas. 

But it's the light installations and projections that crowds flock to see. So where do you start? Here are our top 10 illuminated works you can't miss. 

Oasis at Vivid Sydney 2018.

1. Oasis

Royal Botanic Garden Sydney

A sea of lights that dances on and around water, Oasis pays homage to the memory of the ‘forgotten’ Australian children who grew up in care.

Harmony Valley, Vivid 2018

2. Harmony Valley – Rainbow of Peace and Trees of Friendship

The Rocks

This installation comprises of large “kawaii” inflatable sculptures. Visitors can interact with the sculpture by forming a human chain that connects with each end of the rainbow.

The Enchanted Garden: At Tumbalong Lights

3. The Enchanted Garden: At Tumbalong Lights

Darling Harbour

An accessible play experience where visitors can interact with a colourful garden of illuminated sea plants.

Australian artist Jonathan Zawada transforms the Sydney Opera House sails into a series of kinetic digital sculptures inspired by the Australian environment.
