This marshmallow and wafer chocolate bar was first created by Hoadley's Chocolates in 1947, and has since been passed through several confectionary giants, including Rowntrees and Nestle.
The famed Polly Waffle chocolate bar was discontinued in 2009, much to the disappointment of Aussie shoppers. After being bought by South Australian confectioner Robern Menz, there was talk of return of the popular treat.
In 2019, Menz announced the return of the Polly Waffle, however, after the onset of COVID-19 in 2020, it's return was unfortunately delayed.
Since the end of the pandemic, Polly Waffle fans (especially Baby Boomers and Gen X) have been patiently waiting.
Four years later, Menz's CEO, Phil Sims, has taken to Facebook to express his excitement about the return of the popular choccy, stating:
"We know it’s been a journey and we can’t wait for you to enjoy this delicious nostalgic treat, with a modern take!"
