Create a gourmet pizza by spreading a thin layer of tomato pasta sauce over the base then place pieces of grilled mushroom topped with dollops of homemade pesto, fresh basil and black olives.

Roast a pumpkin until its soft, then remove the skin and blend until smooth. Spoon a smooth layer over your vegan pizza base then top with roasted broccoli, caramelised onion, chickpeas and fresh herbs for a real treat.

Beetroot and hummus pizza
Last but by no means least, using beetroot dip in place of a tomato-based sauce is a delicious option for a vegan pizza that's also gluten-free.

Hummus increases the protein content and if you use beetroot hummus you'll create a purple pizza that looks as good as it tastes.
