Nothing beats a relaxing hotel stay, particularly one where you have plenty of extras to make you feel right at home. We’re talking about a kettle, hairdryer, iron, TV and maybe even a bottle of champers to seal the deal. But, that’s not good enough for some travellers who are complaining about the fact their hotel doesn’t have a power point socket next to their bed.
Some travellers are saying that hotels built or remodelled after 2017 should know better.
A story appeared in the news recently of a fed up hotel guest rearranging his hotel room so he could charge his phone while he was in bed.
Many social media users have commented on the story saying it's a first world problem, wheras others have supported the idea.
“I really feel this 1st world problem... this guy's a hero,” one person commented.
“Totally agree! It *is* a '1st world problem' but it drives me mad too!” another said.
Another person pointed out there are other ways to solve the problem. “This idiot has obviously never heard of a battery power bank,” they said.
One person simply said, “For gods sake”.
Considering hotels have been around since the early years of the common era, people might just have to be a little more accommodating that they haven’t rapidly developed to take into account our recent addiction to modern technology.
Or, do you think it’s about time hotels took into consideration their guests’ experiences? Let us know in the comments.
