It's common for a wave of anxiety to wash over you after the leaving the house for a holiday.
Did you turn the stove off? What about the hair straightener? Is the back door locked?
There’s a really simple way to avoid these nagging feelings: take a photo.
As Nicole Dieker writes for Lifehacker, taking photos puts her mind at ease when going away.
“I take photos before I go on long trips to give myself proof that the oven dials are in the right place and the thermostats are turned off,” says Nicole. “The funny thing is that I've never once wanted to look at this proof after I've photographed it; it also turns off the part of my brain that gets anxious about accidentally leaving something on.”
Have you tried this?
