The FoldiMate promises to take the work out of folding laundry, by folding and stacking your clothes into neat piles.
According to its manufacturers, it can fold an entire load of laundry in a few minutes, and it is designed to fit in any room of your home.
There are, however, limitations to the current design. It only handles ‘average-sized’ items and it can’t fold small things like baby clothes, socks or undergarments, or very large and bulky items such as sheets or hoodies.
“I started this journey with a humble goal to help out with laundry folding in my home,” explained founder and CEO of FoldiMate Gal Rozov.
“My family is eagerly waiting for our own FoldiMate and the team has worked hard to meet our expectations and those of fans around the world. We’re excited with the improved model and now we want it in our homes as soon as possible,” he said.
The Foldimate will be launched in the U.S by the end of 2019, and has a ‘target price’ of US$980 (AUD$1,253).
At this stage there is no word on whether the robot will be coming to Australia – we can only hope!
