Have you ever questioned why sinks always have the hot water handle on the left, and cold water on the right handle?
It turns out it all has to do with our hand preferences.
In the past, sinks only had one single pump for cold water on the right side to meet the requirement of right-handed individuals.
When the second faucet was introduced, cold water stayed on the right while hot water took up the left spot.
In turn, water distribution is now equal to both left and right handed people.
