Cooking pasta is simple: fill a pot with water, add some salt and drop your pasta in until al dente.
But according to one theory that has recently resurfaced, there is a better way.
Instead of waiting for the water to boil and cooking it in a pot, it has been suggested that cooking pasta in a pan and covering it in cold water is better.
The reason being, you are using less water so it boils quicker, plus the starchy water you are left with is perfect for your sauce.
