2017 has emerged as the year for the novelty Christmas tree.
It’s a trend that is fairly easy to replicate at home. You'll need a white Christmas tree, white fairy lights, a black top hat, black pom-poms or paper circles for eyes, black baubles for buttons, a fake carrot for a nose, and a black pipecleaner for a mouth. Use a hot glue gun to piece together all of the parts.
You can create a head by shaping the branches upwards and tying with a scarf, or you can add a white ball or paper lantern on top. Complete the look with sticks for arms and a snowy Christmas tree skirt.
American department store Walmart has produced their own jolly snowman Christmas tree this year - and it’s sold out.
