Country Road’s latest homewares collection is so stunning you’d never guess it was made using recycled denim cutoffs.
Watch: how to create the perfect shelfie.
The collection was created in partnership with Saitex, a denim manufacturer based in Vietnam, using an innovative material called Stelapop©.

What is Stelapop
Stelapop is a wood alternative used to create homewares and furniture made from wood or plastic. The great part is that it’s made from 65% recycled denim offcuts sourced from Saitex’s production lines.
But that’s not all. Stelapop can be recycled once it is no longer in use, creating a fully circular system.
How Saitex is changing the fabric of the denim industry:
- At Saitex, denim is washed using a closed-loop system that recycles approximately 98% of the water through an on-site treatment plant.
- In a commitment to conserving energy, Saitex has 15,000 solar panels on its mill’s roof that help power the facility. In addition, the sewing factory is Silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified, an internationally recognised symbol of sustainability excellence and green building leadership.
- Rather than solely relying on traditional tumble drying, Saitex air dries its jeans for up to 80% of the drying process.
Country Road’s homewares collection is another way of demonstrating Saitex’s commitment to sustainability.
