If you’re an avid traveller, then it’s always good to stay across the names of airlines that have high safety standards and customer service. However, tracking down this information from a reliable source can be a tricky task. Lucky for you, Airlineratings.com – the world’s largest airline safety and product rating review website – has compiled a list of the top 20 best airlines in the world for safety. They’ve also named some of the airlines with the worst safety standards, too.
Australian airline Qantas topped the list and was named as the world’s safest airline for 2019 by the online organisation. Airlineratings.com evaluates the best and worst airlines by examining audits from aviation governing and industry bodies, government audits, airline’s crash and serious incident record, profitability, fleet age and industry-leading safety initiatives.
The world’s four worst airlines for 2019 are Indonesian airline Trigana Air Service; Bluewing Airlines, based in Suriname; and two Afghan carriers, Ariana Afghan Airlines and Kam Air.
The world’s safest low-cost airlines were named to be Flybe, Frontier, HK Express, Jetblue, Jetstar Australia/Asia, Thomas Cook, Volaris, Vueling, Westjet and Wizz.
