Simple bird bath hack for bees

Leaving water out for animals during the warmer months is a simple to help Australian wildlife, but there’s one important garden guest you might have overlooked.

 

Just like birds, bees need water too for many reasons, including digestion and keeping their hives cool.

If you’ve already got a bird bath, there’s a simple way to modify it for bees.

Simply add some floating platforms like corks or
 a sloping bank in it for bees to land on. Alternatively, some pebbles or rocks will do the trick, just make sure they sit out of the water a bit.
