How to use a Koala discount code

You can add a Koala discount code to your cart, or when you get to the checkout. Here’s a step-by-step guide with some tips on how to add it:

Get a valid code: Click on a tested offer here to get the code, which you can click to copy. If you don’t need a code for your chosen offer, you’ll find key details on the deals.
Shop on Koala: We’ll open a new tab that takes you straight to the relevant section, so you can browse sofas, mattresses, other furniture and accessories.
Add your preferences: If you’re shopping for a sofa, choose the configuration, modules, fabric colour and styles and other details. For mattresses, make sure you choose the right size for the bed. Keep in mind the price changes based on these adjustments.
Enter the code in your cart: Go to your cart – you’ll be automatically taken there after adding an item, but can also click on the cart icon if you want to get back to it. Scroll past your items, click ‘Add’ next to where it says ‘Discount code’, enter the code and click apply to update your order. Then, just go through the checkout.

Newsletter offer: Koala offers a 10% off your first order when you sign up for the newsletter.
Bundles: Koala has a selection of bundles with 10% discounts compared to buying the items individually. For example, when I checked, a queen Koala Luxe Mattress and Balmain Bed Base Bundle cost $3186, while buying them individually would cost $3540 ($2390 for the mattress and $1150 for the bed base).
Clearance section: The Koala website has a clearance section where you can save on a limited selection of items. When I checked in August 2026, discounts ranged from 20% to 30% for sofa beds and cushions. I’ve also previously seen rugs and bedding on clearance, so it’s worth checking out for a deal.
120-night trial: Koala gives you a generous 120 nights to trial your products and make sure they suit you. If not, you can return them for a full refund of the purchase price – with free shipping in metro Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. If you live outside these areas, return shipping isn’t covered, but you can still organise a return and refund.
Koala Second Home and Outlet: If you live in Sydney, you can visit Koala Second Home in Campbelltown to get big discounts on refurbished and returned Koala products. And if you’re in Perth, you can shop for near-new Koala products through the online Outlet.

When is the best time to get a discount on Koala furniture? Here’s my take as Deals Editor

I’ve spent more than 17 years as a journalist covering money, personal finance and lifestyle – and I personally know owning a home comes with a whole lot of costs. So finding the smartest time to shop for furniture is something I take seriously (and genuinely enjoy).

With Koala, I’ve found the biggest discounts are usually during major including Afterpay Day, EOFY , Black Friday and Boxing Day. I’ve tracked these sales for years and found that Koala typically offers up to 20% or 30% off during these sales – sometimes with free shipping or other perks. Here are a few recent examples:

Afterpay Day – August 2026: Koala’s extended sale offered up to 25% off sofas, sofa beds, mattresses, bed bases and more. Including 25% off the best-selling Koala Sofa Bed (4th Gen), Tamarama Sofa and the Koala Luxe and Plus Mattresses.
EOFY sale – June 2026: Koala offered up to 30% off select pieces site-wide and free metro shipping.
Black Friday – November 2025: Koala offered up to 30% off select pieces, including $658 off a Wanda 3.5-seater sofa bed and up to $599 off a Koala Luxe Mattess.

The great thing about these sales is that they’re also spaced throughout the year. But there is a catch: a lot of people know these sales bring big savings. As a result, Koala’s most popular pieces can and do sell out.

So if you can plan ahead you’ll be in a better position to get what you want. I also like to plan ahead as a way of budgeting for big-ticket items, which can make it a win-win.

Editor’s tip: Check if there are discounts on particular colourways or styles for whatever Koala products you’re considering. I recently saw a 25% discount on the Kirribilli Bed Base in Dark Ash, compared to 20% off for the Warm Ash version – and that 5% can make a big difference in dollars.

Does Koala have a discount for first orders?

Yes, you can get 10% off your first order with Koala when you sign up for their mailing list. You’ll be emailed a link to shop from and the code will automatically apply at the checkout. When I tested it in May 2026, I got the email around 5 minutes after signing up.

What is the Koala referral discount?

Koala offers a $200 discount for people referred through their refer-a-friend promotion, and a $100 Prezzee gift card for people who successfully refer friends.

Friend referrals are currently the main way to get a $100 discount with Koala, and you can refer up to 10 friends. Just keep in mind that if you’re referring friends, they need to keep their order past the 120-night trial before you’ll get your $100 gift card.

Can I use more than one Koala discount code?

That would be a dream (pun intended!) but unfortunately you’re only able to add one discount code per Koala order.

Does Koala have an influencer discount code?

Koala sometimes offers promotional discount codes for influencers on social media, such as $200 discount on a purchase over $1500. According to Koala’s terms and conditions, these codes are only valid for Australian residents and usually won’t apply to bundles, delivery charges, gift cards or when there’s another promotion. But it’s worth keeping in mind if you want something from Koala when it’s full price and are happy to check your socials for a deal.

Does Koala have a discount code for free shipping?

Koala offers free shipping on mattresses, bedding, linen, pillows, cushions and throws to metro areas – no code needed. For other items, standard fees range from $35 to $95 in metro areas, with the cost outlined at the checkout.

Does Koala have a student discount?

Yes! Koala offers a 10% discount for students via UNiDAYS. So you need to verify your student status and create an account on the platform to get this discount.

Does Koala price match?

It’s a good question, but in this case the answer is no. Koala doesn’t price match because its mattresses and furniture aren’t widely available through other retailers.

What else to know when shopping with Koala

How fast is shipping?

Shipping is quick; for a Koala mattress and select other furniture items being delivered to metro areas is at little as four hours. Most deliveries in regional and rural areas takes between 1-15 days. Depending on where you are, you could also choose a delivery time.

What is Koala’s return policy?

Koala offers a 120-day trial period for most of the products bought on its website. You’re eligible for a full refund even if you’ve used the product and the refund even covers the cost of any return delivery charges. If an item is damaged or defective, contact Koala with photos to discuss your return options.

Does Koala have a warranty?

Most Koala products have a warranty period that covers replacement or repair for defects, with a 10-year warranty for Koala mattresses, 5-year warranty for furniture, and 1-year warranty for homewares and bedding (including pillows). You also get a 1-year warranty on electrical components in any Koala products.

How long will a Koala mattress last?

Koala mattresses are designed to last at least 10 years, with a warranty covering that whole period. In some cases, you may even find the mattress lasts longer. You could also get a mattress topper to help protect and extend the life of your mattress.

Are Koala couches good quality?

There’s no one-size-fits all answer to whether or not Koala is worth it.
