Step 1 Hold prawn body with one hand and prawn head with your other hand. Use a firm twisting action to remove head. Discard prawn head.
Step 2 Starting from beneath the prawn at the head end, peel away shell and prawn legs. Discard legs and shell.
Step 3 Use your fingers to pinch tail shell. Discard
Step 4 At this point you can eat the prawn straight away, or you can use the tip of a butter knife, or your finger, to remove the digestive tract.
Step 5 Serve with lots of napkins, plus a bowl of lukewarm water with fresh lemon slices to wash your hands.
