7 different ways to dress up your indoor plants

Indoor plants are the décor item du jour. Not only do they instantly liven up any space and make it feel ten times more stylish, there’s also a slew of health benefits associated with growing an indoor garden.

However, the impact your collection of indoor plants make on your décor entirely depends on how they are presented and arranged, so picking the perfect pot or plants stand can really make or break a look.

Here are seven different ways you can dress up your indoor plants for maximum style.

1. Ceramic pot

A ceramic pot is the typical pot of choice for an indoor plant, but thanks to the rising popularity of indoor plants there are now many more options (both affordable and luxe) to choose from. Choose a ceramic pot with interesting patterns or shape.

2. Glass vessel

It may surprise you to learn that many plants can actually be grown in water, and growing a water-compatible in a glass vessel means everything is on view and displayed for maximum visual impact. It adds a nice organic touch to any space.

3. Metal pots

There’s an abundance of metal pots and pots with metallic finishes in gold, brass and silver to choose from these days at both affordable and high-end price points. This look works super well in a home that already has rose gold or other metallic accents and can add an element of glamour to a room.

4. Paper bag

Durable paper bags with a waxed-like surface that are resistant to mild moisture are the perfect way to add a texture aspect to your plant. This look works great in industrial, eclectic or artsy interiors.

5. Hanging planters

Although a little retro, plants hanging from the ceiling in macramé holders does actually look super bohemian and coastal in any home. You can pick these up from homewares stores or online for a great price, and are easy to install yourself. Use them for trailing plants such as Devil’s Ivy and Spider plants.

6. Plant stand

If you have multiple plants in your home that are all of a similar height the best way to arrange them in a visually pleasing manner is by giving some plants some height. The best way to do this is with a plant stand.

7. Baskets

Baskets are the perfect way to affordably dress your plant up. Baskets add a beautiful, natural woven aspect to any room and work in almost any interior scheme. A basket can also be purchased from almost any budget retailer and they hide cheap plastic pots perfectly!
