Having a first-class experience doesn’t have to cost you a fortune.
In fact, even if you’re flying economy there are some things you can do to up the ante.
1. Buy a lounge pass
Don't forget, Qantas Club members can access the Qantas lounges no matter what ticket you’ve purchased.
2. Sit in the centre
Choose a seat over the wing for a smoother flight. Generally, the seats situated over the wing, or slightly in front, are subject to the least amount of movement during a flight.
3. Bring your own entertainment
Sure, most airlines offer some amazing in-flight entertainment, but it doesn’t hurt to bring your own in case you wind up in the only seat without a working TV.
4. Bring your own pillow and blanket
5. Make your own footrest
Elevating your feet during a flight is great for your circulation and can help reduce swelling. A blow-up pillow can be used as a footrest, or purchase a leg hammock.
6. Bring your own snacks
The wait between meals can be long and the end results unsatisfying. Bring your own snacks and enjoy the luxury of eating what you want, when you want.
7. Noise cancelling headphones or white noise
Loud children aren’t even on your radar. If you can’t hear them, were they even there?
8. Pack your own toiletries
Don’t rely on the airline's tiny toothbrush and amenities, pack your own essentials and enjoy the flight.
