1. Vodka
Although it isn’t exactly a drink for sipping, vodka or tequila generally have a low calorie count of around 105, a low amount of sugar and zero carbs.
2. Dry white wine with a low alcohol content
Generally speaking, due to the alcohol and sugar content, a high-alcohol and sweet wine will have more calories than a dry, low-alcohol wine. However, sugar has fewer calories than alcohol, so it might be better to go for a sweet, low-alcohol wine. Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Cabernet Sauvignon are on the lower end of the calorie scale.
3. Beer
Although beer has traditionally been associated with blokes, an ice-cold frothy is for the enjoyment of all humankind. Try a Hahn Superdry which has 99 calories, Pure Blonde has 107 calories, Toohey’s New has 98 calories, XXXX Gold has only 109 calories, and Corona Extra has just 82 calories.
4. Mojito
Although cocktails and mixers are generally high in calories, it turns out that a mojito may be more diet friendly. Depending on how the drink is made, a mojito with 30ml of white rum, lime, mint, ice and soda, can be brought down to almost 100 calories.
